Photonis Vyper PRO Binocular
The latest revision of its Vyper binocular series, the Vyper PRO, launched in 2026 by Photonis and Exosens Group. This system was awarded initial contracts for the U.S. Army BiNOD program to adopt the PVS-33 night vision binocular to replace the PVS14 monocular within the U.S. Army. The Vyper PRO is the commercial variant and identical to the U.S. Army submission. This system is a custom Nocturn Industries Raptor housing with AA battery and push button on/off, combined with RPO 4.0 optics and Photonis 4G High Gain white phosphor intensifiers. It is one of the best values in the ‘ultimate binocular’ tier as a result.
If it’s good enough to be considered for the PVS-33 program for the U.S. Army, it’s probably doing something right. It’s lightweight, and best of all has gain-controlled 4G High Gain white phosphor intensifiers over 2200 FOM, giving you access to the best tubes Europe has to offer, which have gain levels exceeding typical Gen 3.
