NVision NOX18 and NOX35
The NOX18 and NOX35 thermal optics from NVision Optics are incredible multipurpose workhorses for the thermal enthusiast, and enable a whole new level of capability. The 18mm variant is light and small enough for head mounted use, especially in a hybrid setup next to a traditional PVS14 night vision monocular on a bridge mount, but is also weapons rated and extremely capable as a dedicated long gun optic in a pinch thanks to the integrated dovetail and QD weapon mounts. Meanwhile, it’s larger brother, the NOX35mm favors a dedicated weapons mounted role by providing more native magnification, but in a pinch is a perfect scanner for handheld use utilizing the traditional PVS14 eyepiece.
The NOX18 compares very well to the Iray USA MH25 monocular in a hybrid and head mounted role – though heavier, the wider native field of view, multiple battery options, native PVS14 style eyepiece, and BAE thermal image core technology make this an incredible first thermal for those who already have a white phosphor PVS14 – bridge it with a Knights Armament Universal Bridge, or mount it on your favorite firearm.
The NOX35 is essentially a dedicated weapon sight for longer hunting engagements, and in this role it is probably the best value on the thermal market given the image quality and ability to piggyback a reflex sight.
